What is he for??
When comparing both articles, "Bush to Protect Three Areas In Pacific" and "Bush's Seven Deadly Environmental Sins" there is a mix of ideas. In the very first article they are talking about how Bush is helping keep a big amount of ocean safe that is bigger than California. He is making three new marine national monuments, these monuments are suppost to help preserve the marine life and the ecosystems. Bush wanting to build these monuments contradicts his previous environmental record. This article also talks about how bush is doing something now that is new because he resisted the mandatory curbs of the greenhouse gasses, that cause climate change that we are having. by the end of his term he will have protected more ocean than any person in history. The first article says, "by the end of his term he will have protected more ocean than any person in history" I think it is funny that he did not want to help the people with he climate change as well as our environment, but now all of a sudden when he is about to be out of office he making a big sanctuary for marine life, that's kinda odd.
The second article "Bush's Seven Deadly Environmental Sins" talks about Bush's environmental record, most of the things on there are negative aspects of what Bush has done while in office and how they are going to stay with us even after he is not in office anymore. It talks about seven instances where bush did something wrong, it also talks about how President elect Barrack Obama is going to have to be the one to fix the problems that Bush mad while in office, after everyone of the "sins" Obama's plan was mention, one of his plans was to.. "Uphold his campaign promise to reduce U.S. greenhouse gas emissions 80 percent by 2050."
Both of these articles had evidence and quotes which is really good. They both have their own separate ideas although some of them maybe negative That is what the writer was thinking and you can see that in the writing. It is like one of them is showing something positive that he did which contradicts his environmental record, and the other show the negative that he did in his environmental record. So If you didn't know what it was the sevens sins article shows you something that makes the two articles connect in some way.
